Sightings: Bronze whaler sharks, Short-tail Stingray & Cape fur seals
Summary: After a day on land due to high swell and wind, guests and crew were all excited to head out into the bay for an afternoon of shark cage diving! Changing on land for comfort, the hard work was completed so once at the dive site, all we had to do was wait for the arrival of our first Bronze whaler shark. These sharks were active throughout the trip, with individuals of varying sizes offering up close encounters. The sharks were soon joined by 2 different Short-tail stingrays, an impressive sight each and every time. To add to the wildlife, curious Cape fur seals were present around the vessel, showing off more of the local marine life in Gansbaai.
