Sightings: Bronze whaler sharks, Short-tail stingray + Cape fur seals
Summary: An early departure for our first guests of the day, with a return to the water after a weekend on land due to weather. A break in wind and swell meant that we were ready to rejoin our sharks within the shallow dive site of the bay. The marine wildlife welcomed in the new month, with multiple Bronze whaler sharks appearing in front of the vessel and offering intimate encounters for those in the water. The sharks were accompanied by the Short-tail stingray, an specific individual that has been sighted since 2018 in our bay! The Cape fur seal individual was present around the vessel, predating on smaller catshark species. The second trip had incredible encounters with these species too, wrapping up a great day on the water. Thank you to all who joined us on today’s trip!
