The first trip of the day started off well with sharks arriving 10 minutes after anchoring in the Geldsteen, this was great to see after some slower activity we have been seeing recently. The first shark was quickly joined by two others, both close to the 4.0m length! This trip saw many sharks with rosies, the natural, white pigmentation found on the dorsal and caudal din making it abit hard to distinguish between the sharks gliding by. The afternoon trip headed out and was just as lucky as the first trip with a juvenile shark spotted close to 10 minutes after arriving! We had a number of individuals turn up throughout the trip some that are new around the boat and others were have been seeing across the last few days. Towards the end of the trip we had some of the large males join us, including one just under 4.0m in length that we have also seen the other side of the island with some large and distinguishable freckles along his trunk. The most active shark of this trip was the last shark to turn up, an approximate 3.2m female with a rosie on the front of her dorsal fin. This smaller female came rocketing in and caused quite a commotion with her speed, agility and willngness to be close to the cage! Thank you to all that joined us out on the water today…
