Depth: 7.9m + 7.1m

Visibility: 0.5 m + 0.5m

Conditions: strong easterly wind

This morning’s launch was a bit later than usual, so everyone could sleep in a bit. We launched in a strong easterly wind, but conditions at our dive location were quite nice. After a bit of a slow start, the copper sharks found their way over to investigate the boat. While we were achored, guest were also able to view a mother calf pair of Southern Right Whales that swam by in the distance. Although they didn’t come in very close, we could clearly see them as they came up for air. A short-tailed stingray also made several passes at the boat. All in all, a great day for marine life!

For our second trip we once again headed out into the wind. When we arrived at our dive site our guests quickly got into their wetsuits. It didn’t take long before the copper sharks arrived once more. While the visibility wasn’t too good, our divers enjoyed the sharks passing by the cage non-the-less. While the wind blew, the sun was blazing high in the sky, and our guests thoroughly enjoy the entire experience.
