Location: Joubertsdam

Water temp: Moderate

Visibility: Low

Sightings: Cape Fur seal + African penguin

Today we were joined by our first Marine Dynamics Academy’s intern for 2021, Maik. Welcome

Whilst we didn’t see any sharks we had some fantastic views of the Cape Fur seals

Enjoying the sun on such a lovely day

Whilst they were keeping close to the island the seals that were in the water were very playful

There are a large amount of Cape Fur seals pups on the Island much to our guests delight

We were lucky enough to spot a lone African penguin on Dyer Island hiding amongst the cormorants
