Location: Joubertsdam

Water Temperature: 17.5°C +  17.2°C

Depth: 9.5m + 9.1m

Visibility: 0.5m + 0.5m

Conditions: Fantastic day on a flat sea, with a small hint of a breeze.

It was a beautiful early morning when Slashfin made it’s way across the flat sea to our dive site in The Shallows. We soon arrived and the crew placed the cage in the water and our divers climbed into their wetsuits. It wasn’t long before the first Copper sharks arrived. The divers climbed into the cage and loud “Whooo!!!”‘s could be heard as the sharks passed close by the cage. As the trip progressed the sharks became more and more active, and our divers had an amazing time in the cage. With the sun out, and a slight breeze, the whole experience was fantastic.

For our second trip, the sun was high in the sky and the water temperature was nice and warm! It didn’t take long to get our first shark on this trip, so our divers clambered into the cage and got the opportunity to see these sharks face to face! We had some incredible activity through this trip, with all our divers getting the chance to see the sharks from the boat and from the cage. As we lapped up the afternoon sun and enjoyed the sharks, we took a bonus trip around the islands to check out some seals and cruise through shark alley. After a successful afternoon on the water, we headed back to the harbour!
