Conditions: Mostly cloudy with a south-eastern wind blowing at 11 knots.

The sea was very calm this morning when we left the harbour with a light wind blowing from the south-east and almost zero waves. On the way out to the dive site we passed a small group of our resident Cape Cormorants returning from a morning of feeding on small fish. Once we reached the dive site we dropped our anchor and almost immediately had a large White shark swim along the side of the boat. After tying the cage to the side of the boat a small 2.9 metre shark nicknamed “Sparkles” greeted out first group of divers. “Sparkles” is named due to the number of scratches and spots along the front of her face and for her bubbly personality. Throughout the morning we had a total of seven sharks the majority of which were female. Though the water was a chilly 11.4 degrees Celsius, the sharks didn’t seem to mind at all. The sharks seemed to know people came to see a good show as they definitely delivered, which made for another fantastic day in the bay…
