A very early start, but the beautiful morning made the early wake up seem easier as did the thought of seeing some sharks! The first trip this morning arrived in the shallows and had quite a long wait for our first shark, but like always it’s good to keep mindful that we are dealing with unpredictable wildlife and to be patient. Patience paid off with some great individuals turning up, including an impressive 3.8m shark, whose size made it easier to see in the somewhat challenging visibility due to a current algae bloom. The second trip of the day was an exclusive for the Fox family on a holiday from The States and wanting to see what all the fuss was about the Great White Shark. The third and final trip had no sooner arrived before we hear the cry of “shark”! It appears that “Jacob’ was still close by from our second trip however he didn’t stick around and we had a long wait before any other sharks turned up. The sharks turned back up around an hour later, in which time the algae bloom had started to be moved out of our area by the currents. Clearer waters and more shark activity, including our largest shark of the day, a 4.0m male, was a great way to end the day…
