Location: Joubertsdam
Water Temperature: 15.7oC
Depth: 10.1m
Visibility: 2.5m
Number of Sharks: 12
Conditions: Lots of swell, but low wind so not too choppy, clear skies with lots of sun.

The trip today launched from Gansbaai harbour, heading around Danger Point to our dive site in the shallows! We’d been off sea the day before due to bad weather, so we didn’t know what to expect! We had a very brief before our first shark arrived at the boat, a large female who was present and active for most of the trip! The sharks were very active throughout the trip, with numerous enthusiastic attempts on the bait line giving everyone on slashfin some fantastic sights! We were also visited by a satellite tagged shark! Although she didn’t make much of a pass at the cage, it was still nice to see some of the sat-tagged sharks still around! All round a fantastic morning trip for everyone, even though we didn’t know what to expect! A trip out on Slashfin is always a good reminder that these beautiful preditors never disappoint…
