Sightings: Bronze whaler sharks, Broadnose sevengill shark, Short-tail stingray, Southern Right whales + Cape fur seal
Summary: Today we welcomed the first day of spring, and what better way to start the month than with some beautiful marine life! Before even reaching our dive site, the first trip was treated to an up close encounter with some Southern Right whales tail lobbing and rolling in the waves. At the dive site, guests were soon in their wetsuits and in the water with the first shark sightings of Bronze whaler sharks. Not long after, a second shark arrived; the Broadnose sevengill shark. The Short-tail stingray also made an appearance, gracefully gliding close to the cage amongst the sharks. Consistent shark activity carried on into the second trip, with Cape fur seals also swimming around the vessel. A great day for all, thank you to everyone who joined us on Slashfin!
