Shark steals the spotlight in our underwater surveys, as Marine Dynamic’s video gear witnesses a great encounter

We headed out to sea with the thought in our head that today would be the day…

As Slashfin launched out of Kleinbaai harbour this morning, the sun was shining and we were hoping that maybe better weather would mean a better day, and hopefully also some better luck with sightings…

The team on board Slashfin and our guests like always tried their absolute best to find the sharks in our bay today…

It was a later start for the team here at Marine Dynamics with our guests coming through to Gansbaai for a launch at 11:30am….

The White sharks were a little slow off the block this morning with our first Great White appearing amongst the Bronze Whalers further on in the trip…

This guide had high hopes for her first day back on sea in two weeks as im sure many of our guests did as well, yet you never know what you're going to get when it comes to nature…

Back to sea after a days break for the Marine Dynamics team, we were eager to see our White sharks in the bay…

A gloomy start to the day with low laying clouds and a sprinkling of rain here and there but as we headed out of the harbour the day immediately brightened up as we spied a large pod of Common dolphins heading our way…

The first three months of 2018 have been like a seal trying to maneuver away from a hunting Great White shark, going one way before changing direction, trying to anticipate the next move without knowing, however as we all know…these things can be unpredictable!
