Dive site: Joubertsdam

Water temp: Moderate

Visibility: Poor

Sightings: Bronze whaler sharks, Short-tail stingray, Cape Fur seals, Southern Right whales

Summary: We started our day rather early today, but that gave us a chance to enjoy the sun raising over the mountains! As soon as we got to the dive location, the sharks didn't make us wait for too long. The activity was great, even though the visibility wasn't on our side today. The Bronze Whaler sharks came in nice and close, however, so everyone managed to get a close encounter. As we were done we ventured around Dyer Island system to see some Cape Fur seals, a surprise was waiting for us in the alley: two majestic Southern Right whales appeared out of nowhere! 
The second trip of the day was just as lucky with some incredible shark action around the vessel!
