Location: Gansbaai, South Africa
Dive site: Joubertsdam
Water temp: Moderate
Visibility: Poor
Sightings: Bronze whaler sharks, Bottlenose dolphins, Indian Ocean Humpback dolphins, African penguins + Cape fur seals
Summary: A rainy start to the day, with skies clearing up through the trips. As we arrived at our dive site on the first trip we spotted a Bottlenose dolphin, shortly followed by the Bronze whaler sharks who kept us company throughout the trips! The individuals we had were predominantly large females, allowing guests to see these sharks at nearly their full size range! The bay continued to show off it's brilliant biodiversity, offering sightings of a Cape fur seal, African penguins and even Indian Ocean Humpback dolphins. A successful day of diverse encounters, thank you to everyone who joined us!
