Despite the strong winds blowing everyone’s hair all over the place, it was well worth it! We had some tremendous shark activity and great whale watching as an extra bonus…
A complete package today! We had such a diversity of wild life it ranged from sharks to whales to jellyfish to hagfish. That is the great thing of being in the Gansbaai area for a shark cage dive; you can come to see sharks, but you will end up seeing a lot more than you bargained for…
What a day! We had awesome shark activity on both trips with several jaw dropping moments. The visibility in the water was a bit of a limiting factor today, it seems we are experiencing a bit of a phytoplankton bloom. This is brilliant for the environment, but a little tuff for shark viewing. I can however guarantee that everyone saw several Great Whites, very close at times…
A bit of a wet one today; windy, rainy and if you weren’t spending the day with sharks – miserable. But luckly we were with the sharks and not just any sharks some of the most amazing on the planet…
We had a tremendous day out at sea today with Marine Dynamics hosting two very successful trips! We had a bit of a wait this morning before the sharks decided to make an appearance, we all know that Mother Nature runs on her own time and not on ours. Our sharks did eventually show up in great size and numbers, the biggest shark today was about 4.5 meters in length…
Despite the fact that the water temperature had dropped by 3 degrees, there was still an amazing time to be had both in and out of the water. Both trips had a combination of large and even larger sharks today, which offered some tremendous heart stopping moments!
Even though it was a bit chilly out at sea today we had an amazing time with both the Whales and the Sharks. We spotted some Southern Right Whales on our way towards our dive site and some more while we were on anchor.
The seas were calm and there were barely any clouds over head as we set out to Joubertsdam this morning. Within 10 minutes or so we’d picked our spot and began waiting for the sharks to show up.
A combination of jumps, dives and even a partial spy hop or two made today’s trip exceptional! Southern Right Whales were spotted on both trips in numerous pairs all over. The sharks did keep us waiting a bit on the first trip, but what was to follow was well worth the wait!
Good weather just keeps coming, not to be pessimistic, but that’s usually a sign of things to come. We are using the good weather in that we are running two trips with both having tremendous shark activity with both big and smaller sharks!
