Diving Experience Overview
VIP Arrival
Meet at the Great White House in Kleinbaai for breakfast or lunch depending on your trip time. You can check in online pre-arrival. Meet your dedicated marine biologist who will confirm your wetsuit size. You will receive a pre-trip safety briefing on what to expect when out on sea, and get an overview of the shark species you may see. Once you have your life jacket on, we take a 200m stroll down to the harbour to board our vessel.
Out to Sea
Depending on shark activity information we will take a short 10-minute ride to the shallows or 20 minutes to Dyer Island, where we will then anchor. Wetsuits are handed out on board.
Immersive Shark Encounter
On average, we anchor for 2 to 3 hours, but this depends on shark activity, sea and weather conditions. We don’t use scuba or snorkel in the cage as it is always above the water. We will advise from which side the shark is approaching and when to go down for an underwater close encounter.
Wrap-Up & Return
Weather and time permitting, we might take a quick trip through the famous Shark Alley on the way back. Once on shore, we have a debrief in the Great White House with soup and bread to warm you up. We will show you the footage of your trip and arrange a copy. Cash showers are available to freshen up before departing on your next adventure. We hope you have time to make a stop at the African Penguin and Seabird Sanctuary for a visit.

Yes, we have additional vessels that can be hired to support security team and have experience in arranging such.
We have a restaurant on site and can cater for all dietary requirements. We can arrange whatever you would like and make any special arrangements with sufficient notice. Generally, we would arrange a meal on arrival, snacks on board, and something on return.

Getting you there in style
Exclusive Transport from Cape Town or Hermanus
Price on request
Enjoy a safe and scenic trip on one of our dedicated buses. We collect from Cape Town central for the 2.5-hour drive to Gansbaai or from Hermanus central for a 40-minute drive to Gansbaai. We offer free Wi-Fi, water and mints on board.
Helicopter or plane
Price on request
Arrive in style via a helicopter transfer or plane ride from Cape Town (weather dependent). The hour flight takes you over mountain ranges, rolling valleys and the ocean. If you are lucky, you might even be able to spot a whale from above. Guests depart from the V&A Waterfront. Our team will collect you from the Gansbaai landing zone, or airstrip, just 10 to 15 minutes away.
