Daily Blog 26 April 2025 | Shark Cage Diving in South Africa

26/04/2025

Location: Gansbaai, South Africa

Dive site: Joubertsdam

Water temp: Cold

Visibility: Good

Sightings: Broadnose Sevengill shark + Cape fur seals

Summary: Calm conditions awaited us as we departed from Kleinbaai Harbour. Arriving on anchor, it was a quiet day in the bay, but an anchor site adjustment rewarded guests with sightings of 2 different Broadnose sevengill sharks ranging from 150-180cm! A visit to the impressive Cape fur seal population at Geyser Rock offered an opportunity to view the diversity that can be found in our region. Thank you to all who joined us today, it was a pleasure having you all on board!
