Sightings:  Bronze whalers, Cape fur seal and Short-tailed stingray

Location: Joubertsdam

Water Temperature: Moderate

Visibility: Moderate

Today we started our first trip of the day in overcast conditions, but that didn’t stop us from being excited about our trip. We reached the dive spot and quickly geared up. Once the first sharks arrived, first nine people got into the cage. We had some amazing Bronze whaler activity throughout the trip. Once everyone had their chance in the cage, we had some time left so we headed to Dyer Island and Geyser rock, to check out our Cape Fur seal colony.

For our second trip we headed back to the shallows in search of some sharks! We got some copper sharks right away as we arrived to our cage so our divers got into their suits and jumped into the cage. We got some awesome activity from the copper sharks on this trip with all our divers getting up close with the sharks. We also had a few nice passes from a stingray and then towards the end of the trip 2 Cape Fur seals came to join us for some triple S diving!

If you are looking to get up close and personal with the great white shark then Cage Diving in South Africa, and more specifically with Marine Dynamics, is a once-in-a-lifetime experience you won’t want to miss.
