Location: Gansbaai, South Africa

Dive site: Joubertsdam

Water temp: Moderate

Visibility: Moderate

Sightings: Bronze whaler sharks

Summary: A calm day on the water, with low swell and minimal wind making for the perfect conditions. Our trip to the harbour was done with purpose today, as guests, staff and volunteers peacefully marched for the protection and conservation of our endangered African penguin population! Once on the boat, a smooth ride to our anchor site and deployment of the cage was shortly followed by the arrival of the Bronze whaler sharks. With sharks of all sizes, guests had an amazing and up close experience, witnessing the animals at their full potential! Before returning to harbour, a pair of Southern Right whales could be seen moving through the shallows, topping off a successful day of sightings. Thank you to everyone who joined us today!
