Location: Gansbaai, South Africa

Dive site: Joubertsdam

Water temp: Warm

Visibility: Moderate

Sightings: Bronze whaler sharks, Short-tail stingray, Cape fur seal + African penguin

Summary: A wet and wild morning at sea with an early start for our guests to get ahead of the wind! Upon arrival, wetsuits were quickly adorned, with divers ready to join the the Bronze whaler sharks that promptly arrived. Various shapes and sizes were seen of these sharks, with an up-close experience had by those in the cage. In addition to the sharks, the impressive Short-tail stingray arrived from the bottom, with a playful Cape fur seal also putting on a show. As we made our way back to Kleinbaai Harbour, a single endangered African penguin was spotted, offering more insight into the wildlife that inhabits our bay. Thank you to everyone who joined us today on board Slashfin!
