The first trip of the day started off well with a niced sized female approximately 3.0m in length coming by in the first 30 minutes! This female was followed by another two juvenile females, looks like the female sharks were dominating this mornings trip! This afternoon saw one lone shark arrive at Slashfin, but a shark is a shark and one is a whole lot better than none! This juvenile male is one we have been seeing frequently the last few days and is one that is great to have around. Whilst he did not stick within viewing distance, he was coming to the boat every now and again throughout the whole trip and must not have been too far away when we could not spot him! Some of our divers on board decided that his small male need a name and have now dubbed him “Tyrion”, after the character from Game of Thrones, Tyrion Lannister, due to his small size and a scar on his snout.! Hopefully we see “Tyrion” out in the bay as he is a great little White shark to have around. We also had a Short-tailed stingray for most of the trip, coming up from deep whenever it pleased, which happened to be a lot! A interesting day out on the water…
