Summary: We had a long but successful day out at sea! Welcoming our guest aboard our Shark cage diving vessel Slashfin we left Kleinbaai Harbour behind us. Heading to our dive side within the Shallows, we got our excited divers into their wetsuit preparing them for hopping into the cage. The sharks were most certainly operating in their own time but with great patience from our guests we got some close up looks of the incredible Bronze whaler sharks. While the individuals took some breaks in between showing up a active Cape fur seal approached the cage to investigate the divers. Throughout the entire trip not just Kelp and Hartlaub’s Gulls were keeping us company but also rather rare visitors to the Shark cage diving boats: White-chinned Petrels, a pelagic bird species nesting on the Subantarctic islands! A rather elusive Short-tailed stingray made a quick appearance interested in what is happening. Once ready to head back to the harbour we spotted big rafts of the critically endangered African Penguins on the lookout for some fish! Once again thanks everyone for joining our Shark cage diving adventures!
