Location: Joubertsdam

Temperature: 13°C + 13.3°C

Depth: 7.4m + 7.5m +

Visibility:  0.5m + 0.5m +

Conditions: A sunny, but windy day.

The swell sprayed crossed our bow as we headed out this morning. Once we arrived at our dive site, our crew deployed the cage, and our guests jumped into their wetsuits. After a few minutes the first copper sharks arrived, and our divers jumped into the cage. That’s when our divers realised that the waters in Africa can get down to 13°C. Nevertheless our divers had an amazing time in the cage, and some shrieks of excitement were heard as the sharks came incredibly close by. Even a large Rhizostoma jellyfish swam near our vessel. Soon we headed back to shore, and our guests enjoyed some amazing soup and bread.

For our second trip we once again headed back to our dive site in The Shallows. We soon arrived, and our guests didn’t have to wait long for the first sharks to arrive. Once again our divers had a fantastic time witnessing these sharks in their natural habitat. As the sun was shining bright in the sky, the copper sharks showed off their amazing colours to our guests. However, once again we had to head back to shore, but our guests departed with some amazing memories for the new year.
