Location: Gansbaai, South Africa

Dive site: Joubertsdam

Water temp: Moderate

Visibility: Good

Sightings: Bronze whaler sharks, Broadnose sevengill shark & Cape fur seal

Summary: An early rise for our first guests of today, heading into the fog out of Kleinbaai Harbour towards our dive site. If the coffee hadn’t done the job of waking them up, the Atlantic waters and shark activity definitely did! Shortly after arriving on anchor, wetsuits were swiftly adorned and divers ready to join the Bronze whaler sharks in the cage. Multiple individuals could be seen, with a range of sizes allowing guests to view these animals across all levels of maturity. A brief sighting of the Broadnose sevengill shark offered additional insight into the shark diversity of the area. Thank you to all who joined us on board Slashfin today!
